Coaches help people discover purpose and meaning, and experience maximum performance in all areas of life. Coaches help people move from potential to action, from dreaming to doing, from seeming to becoming. Christian Coaches recognize that this can only be done by the leadership of the Holy Spirit and under the authority of the Word of God. Christian Coaches help move people from where they are to where God wants them to be. While counseling looks at the past and how it is affecting the present, coaching looks at the future and where the client wants to be, and then helps them get there. A coach can help motivate, encourage, and support the actions needed to achieve true, lasting change and forward movement in the client’s life.
We offer and train coaches who can assist in many avenues including diet and physical fitness, life transitions, personal and professional growth, and making long held dreams become reality. Christian Life Coaching is an amazing opportunity to participate with the Spirit of Christ to bring purpose and passion to people who are stuck, lost, or drifting. While not government regulated, Christian Life Coaching carries a tremendous responsibility to be well trained, spiritually equipped, and truly invested in the life of his/her client. Coaches hold the hope and the heart of their clients and therefore must be fully in tune with the tools and techniques of quality Christian Coaching.
Our training program prepares you for an incredibly fulfilling ministry in Christian Coaching. Our courses are designed to give you both the conceptual understanding as well as the hands on experiences of Christian Coaching. While we do not believe certification through NLU is the only training you will ever need (The Coach is a life-long learner), we are confident that your training with NLU will allow you to establish and grow a productive and principled coaching ministry, whether in a church setting, a non-profit, or on your own.
Christian Life Coaching Certification
Students must complete the following requirements to receive life coaching certification:
- Passion, Purpose & Planning
- Life Coaching Basic Training
- Life Coaching Advanced Training
- 8 hours of mentoring
