Physical Mentoring

Whether you are training for a marathon, need a total boot-camp makeover, or just want to eat in a more healthy way, the NLU Mentoring program is for you. Each client is treated as an individual. Your personal goals and needs are evaluated. Your current status is assessed. And then a plan is designed just for you to put you on a path for health and wholeness that opens the possibility for God to do even more in your life.

The Physical Mentoring Program from NLU consists of three phases. Assessment and Design. Your mentor will administer the Arno Temperament Profile to discover your best training style, a physical conditioning survey to help you decide appropriate goals, and a Healthy Eating questionnaire to develop a the right nutritional level. The second phase is the Training for Change Phase. For 6 weeks you will meet weekly (in person or by phone) with your mentor/coach to teach you the concepts and make healthy living a part of your very nature. These meetings are informational, instructional, and inspirational. Our clients look forward to the weekly mentoring sessions to see how God will move them each week to a higher level of fitness and faith. Finally, the Accountability Phase. Once a month for the next 9 months you will check in by phone with your mentor to monitor your improvement, challenge you to the next level, and watch for pitfalls along the road to health living for you. In addition to the monthly phone calls you will receive a weekly email of encouragement and insight, making sure you know you are not alone on this journey.
